Leanne Stefano and Tristan facilitated an experiment at 3:00pm on October 4th, 2007:

  • Vertically, Up to 1 ft below the camera appears to still be valid eye contact.
  • Horizontally, Right/Left offset is much more noticeable (4 inches).
  • When viewing loopback video, users expect a mirror view instead of the camera's normal view.
