[edit] Equipment
[edit] Audio
Speakers: using both sets of speakers on the TVs.
Mics: the accumic seems to work... It is not idea.
Should test the duets to see which one is better. We also have to figure out where exactly to put them (and how to neatly run the cable[s]): we had it on a table near the TVs, but closer is better.
[edit] Video
Two SONY cams, 1 panasonic 3CCD cam.
[edit] Displays
Two Sharp 46" LCDs.
We have two 50' DVI->HDMI cables installed.
Jeff Pelz, upon looking at the displays, immediately said they should be 2" lower. This may or may not be possible, in the future... (The conduit-box could be unsightly, but could probably/hopefully be covered at its top)
[edit] Computers
ag1 (a Sun Ultra 40) is in there now and seems to be working pretty well. For ease of use (ie people coming in and using it) it'll probably be staying on Windows for the time being.
[edit] Other
Security: since this room will be open often (access is key-based, and the room will probably be open normal hours based on discretion of CIS faculty) we need to secure our equipment. Looking into fiber loop or ethernet based alarm system for TVs, computer can probably be chained/attached to radiator, cameras and mics TBD.
